Kamchatka -
The land of volcanoes

This is a photographic tour, not particularly demanding. Long excursions with backpacks are not foreseen. Kamchatka volcanoes are among the most perfect cones in the world, they are of incomparable beauty, but Kamchatka is not only a land of volcanoes, we will see huge ice caves, wild animals in their natural environment, immense and wild valleys.

A group of participants from 8 to 11 people, excluding guides. We move along the way with a KAMAZ truck. The tour program includes 10 nights in a tent and 3 nights in a comfortable hotel in the village of Paratunka and another village on the route. The organizers provide all the necessary camping equipment (tents, rugs, sleeping bags, dishes). On the field there will be organized the most comfortable conditions possible (the heated canteen-tent, sockets for charging the batteries, evening lighting, a professional chef). In the tour program there are two stages, small treks (all treks are optional).
Included:

All transportation costs along the route, including transfers from the airport and back.
Two nights in Paratunka, one night in a village on the route (double accommodation).
Three meals a day (also dinner on the day of arrival and breakfast on the day of departure).
Services of a professional cook (in a field).
Enter the natural parks.
Supply of travel accessories (tents, rugs, sleeping bags, dishes)


Not included:
Flights (transfers) to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and vice versa.
Single use in a hotel.
Insurance, alcohol, souvenirs.


TOUR PROGRAM:

1st day. With the flight from Moscow about 9 hours we will arrive in Petropavlovksk-Kamchatskiy. Accommodation in hotel, dinner. The day after a short walk in the city.

2nd day: Transfer to Paratunka village. Accommodation in hotel, dinner.

3rd day. Breakfast. Departure for the village of Klyuchi and then 40 km with our vehicle, to arrive at the seismic station "Horseshoe". Field installation.

4th day. Horseshoe sunrise and sunset photos. Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner.

5th day. Photos at sunrise nearby. Breakfast. Transfer to Klyuchevskoy Park, to the base camp "Hoof" (Valley of the Giants). Field setting, lunch. Sunset photo on the lake near the field. Dinner.

6th day. Photos at sunrise nearby. Breakfast. In favorable weather conditions, for those who wish, you can trek to a small plateau with a lake, a lava canyon and a glade of edelweiss.

7th day. Other spots and small excursions around our accommodation.

8th day. Photo at sunrise at the volcanoes of the valley of the giants, Breakfast. Transfer to the Tolbachik volcano, in the Kleshnya area (to the lava fields and a dead forest, very scenic). Evening photographic session from the main cone of the 2013 eruption.

9th day. Sunrise photos from the closest cone or Alaid cone. Breakfast. After lunch, photographic session in the evening in the dead forest area. Return to the camp, dinner.

10th day. Photos at sunrise. Transfer to Paratunka, lunch on the way. Accommodation in hotel Paratunka, dinner.

11th day. Breakfast. Departure for Gorely volcano. On the way we will stop at the pass overlooking the Vilyuchinsky volcano. Night ascent to Gorely volcano to photograph the sunrise (the ascent will take about 2 hours).

12th day. Photo at dawn from the Gorely volcano. Descent to the camp, breakfast. Transfer to the Mutnovsky volcano, towards the home of the volcanologist Vakin.We go to photograph a snow cave (it depends on the current snow conditions). Sunset photo on the "Opasniy" canyon.

13th day. Photos at sunrise. Breakfast. Trekking to the crater of the Mutnovsky volcano (the ascent will take about 2 hours). Lunch on the field.

14th day. Photos at sunrise. Breakfast. Transfer to Paratunka. Hotel accommodation, lunch. End of tour dinner.

15th day. Breakfast. Transfer to the fish market, gift shop and airport.

Due to weather conditions, the route may be slightly modified.

Weather and clothing
The weather in Kamchatka is highly variable. It can be hot, but it can be very cold. This must be taken into consideration when preparing your baggage:
- Goretex jacket and trousers;
- Thermal underwear
- Sweater, sweatshirt, shirts
- Trekking sock
- Hat, light gloves
- Goretex shoes, rubber ankle boots.
- Household clothes, slippers (for hotels)
- Small mask with a replaceable cartridge for protection from the effects of hydrogen sulphide (optional, it is necessary only in the fumarole area in the crater of Mutnovsky volcano)
- Personal hygiene items and your favorite pills
- Sunscreen and moisturizer
- Front light
